Changing what's possible for young women with disabilities
Young women with disabilities continue to face significant barriers to employment, vocational training, and economic participation. WE CAN exists to change that.
Implemented by ANDY in partnership with Able Child Africa and funded by the British & Foreign School Societies (BFSS), the programme equips young women with disabilities with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to transition into meaningful employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong economic independence.
Our approach
Employability Skills Development
Strengthening workplace readiness through communication, professionalism, teamwork, problem-solving, interview preparation, and career planning.
Entrepreneurship & Business Development
Practical skills in enterprise development, business planning, financial literacy, customer management, and sustainable income generation.
Leadership & Mentorship
Experienced mentors help participants build confidence, strengthen leadership, and prepare for successful transitions into employment and entrepreneurship.
Capacity Building Workshops
Business experts, employers, and government institutions deliver workshops on emerging opportunities, workplace expectations, and enterprise support.
Disability-Inclusive Employment
Strengthening inclusion within vocational institutions and employment systems so young women with disabilities can succeed and grow professionally.
