Inclusive Education

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, belong, and thrive.

Education is more than school attendance. It is about creating inclusive environments where every child and young person can participate, feel valued, and reach their full potential.

Inclusive education is a right, not a privilege

Too many children with disabilities are still excluded from education or left in schools that are not accessible or supportive. They face barriers like lack of assistive devices, stigma, and low expectations that limit their learning and potential.

These challenges go beyond the classroom, affecting confidence, independence, and future opportunities. Inclusive education is not just about access. It is about removing barriers and ensuring every learner has the support they need to thrive.

At ANDY, we work with schools, families, communities, and government to turn inclusive education from an idea into reality.

Five ways we make learning inclusive

Early Childhood Development

The early years shape a child's lifelong learning journey. We support the early identification, enrolment, and inclusion of children with disabilities in quality early childhood education, ensuring they receive support from the very beginning.

Inclusive Teaching and Learning

Teachers are at the heart of inclusive education. We strengthen the capacity of educators to deliver learner-centred, disability-inclusive teaching through practical training, inclusive classroom approaches, and Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs).

Health, Wellbeing and Life Skills

We promote disability-inclusive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), and life skills education, creating safe spaces where young people can access accurate information and make informed decisions.

Assistive Technology and Learning Support

Every learner deserves the tools they need to succeed. We improve access to assistive devices and learning support that enable children with disabilities to participate fully, enhance independence, and learn on an equal basis with their peers.

Research, Advocacy and Systems Strengthening

Sustainable change requires stronger systems. We generate evidence, strengthen partnerships, and advocate for policies and practices that advance disability-inclusive education across schools, communities, and government institutions.

Expanding access. Strengthening inclusion. Transforming lives.

Our education programmes have enabled more children with disabilities to enrol in school, strengthened the capacity of teachers, improved access to assistive technology, and supported schools to create environments where every learner can participate and succeed.

Building schools where every learner belongs

Inclusive education is about more than access. It is about creating learning environments where every child is respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.

As we continue working alongside educators, families, government institutions, development partners, and communities, ANDY remains committed to advancing education systems that recognise ability, embrace diversity, and ensure that no learner is left behind.

Because when education is truly inclusive, every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shape their own future.
