Ruth Awuor: Building beauty and breaking barriers
Ruth joined SLIDE as a Deaf entrepreneur running a small beauty business in Kibera. Through entrepreneurship and digital literacy training, she transformed how she manages and markets her business, and now advocates for greater investment in digital and entrepreneurial skills for Deaf girls across Kenya.

Kelvin Kyalo: Leading from within the community
As a Deaf leader, Kelvin understood the realities facing Deaf youth because he lived them. Under his guidance participants formed the ANDY Queens and ANDY Stars football teams, with several players progressing to Kenya's national Deaf team and the Deaflympics in Japan.
