Inclusive Climate Change Adaptation (ICCA)
Strengthening climate resilience through sustainable livelihoods.
Adaptation succeeds when communities are ready
Through ICCA, ANDY supported persons with disabilities to build resilient livelihoods, restore local ecosystems, and participate in shaping climate adaptation within their communities.
Implemented over thirty-four months across Nyando Sub-County, the project strengthened climate resilience through environmental conservation, household adaptation, economic empowerment, and local climate governance. Supported by ForumCiv and the Embassy of Sweden under the Wajibu Wetu, Jumuika Sikika Programme, it combined practical adaptation measures with long-term institutional change.
