The three-year project is titled “Strengthening Kenyan CSOs capacity to realize the rights of children and young people with disabilities.” The project aims to strengthen the capacity of Kenyan civil society to advocate for the rights of children and young people with disabilities through bringing together a diverse coalition of DPOs, child and youth focused CSOs and influential policy makers. The coalition will share best practices and design, coordinate and implement a child and youth centered campaign to raise public awareness on the rights of children with disabilities and hold government to account on their obligations. ANDY mainstreams child rights and disability rights in development programmes through project delivery and participation in national currently active in eight (8) counties within Kenya through the partnership of the Commonwealth Foundation and Able Child Africa. By the end of this project, ANDY will create a coalition of DPOs and Child- focused CSOs with a strong collective voice to advocate to the Kenyan government for the rights of children with disabilities.
